You can arrange to have a wrist band that will inform staff and allow you to go through more quickly.

  • Manchester Airport Awareness

Travel advice for parents and careers of children on the Autistic Spectrum

At Manchester Airport they realise how stressful travelling through an airport can be for children on the autistic spectrum so  booklets have been designed for both parent carer and child along with a wristband for the child to help make the journey as stress free as possible. The child wearing the wristband and all in the group can use the fast track security lanes in each terminal

This free service  can be requested by calling 08714 777 747 or email applications need to be done before travelling to the airport.

One of our PIP members used this option over the summer holidays and said

” Thou we experienced some teething problems with the new scheme it is excellent and gave  mostly a stress free

experience, we would defiantly use Manchester Airport Awareness scheme when travelling again”
